What a sweet pairing for making new memories!
Disclosure: This post is sponsored by a couple of my favorites: chocolate + wine. Ghirardelli and Josh Cellars. Please note, that as always, all opinions are my own.
If you have seen my Facebook and Instagram lately, you know that January started with a bang! That is, I ran my first half marathon in 2016. (Already!) It was a great start to this healthy and active lifestyle goal.
The most exciting result from the race was that my uber supportive hubby has jumped in the action. For the first time in a long time, we are making the time every other day to exercise together. Another goal of ours is to behave in the kitchen at least 90% of the time.
The other 10%… well, that’s left for indulging in memories. Allow me to ellaborate on this.
Hubby’s work ethic motto is ” work hard and play harder”. However, that statement meant for him to be borderline workaholic with no time to play because the job. That has changed recently – thank goodness – and now we make the time to make new memories and cherish our off time away from computer screens and social media.
Put simply, life is too short to live on a 100% food plan compliance. For realz.
He knows the way to my heart starts with chocolate.
Ah, love that we can get chocolate and wine too at our local Walmart (this does changes by state). To celebrate Valentine’s day you can choose from Ghirardelli’s Valentine’s Impressions:
- Caramel Chocolate Trio Squares
- Chocolate Assortment
- Milk & White Chocolate hearts
- Milk & Dark Chocolate hearts
If it wasn’t for that pesky 10% we do our best to stick to, we would have grabbed multiple bags of each one. The white chocolate ones were calling my name 😉
Anyways, out of the blue, the hubster calls a trip to Walmart last Saturday, where he spotted me
salivating taking a look at the Ghirardelli chocolates (found in the seasonal candy aisle). After a joke or two, we were heading to a secret destination (his words, not mine) with his & hers bags of Ghirardelli’s Valentine’s Impressions Caramel Chocolate Trio Squares and a bottle (or two) of delicious Josh Cellars Pinot Noir on hand. What a sweet paring!
We had a great candlelit dinner at a hotel by the beach. There’s nothing better than enjoying the sunset while enjoying some good chocolate squares making new memories.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
Now, sharing is caring and that’s what we’ll do here. Thanks to Ghirardelli, two lucky readers will an American Express $75 gift card. Woohoo! Enter in the widget below. Winners will be chosen 2/11.
