Be Savvy

Weekend love /4.

Weekend love is my weekly lifestyle recap. I also share a few links to posts I feel like you will enjoy as much as I did when I found them.

What a great week!

The only thing that would be WAY better is if we were in Puerto Rico surprising my mom… Miss her and the family much more during these holidays.

This week I shared an easy chicken spaghetti {spicy is optional} recipe that has become a staple here. Maybe it’s because the jalapeños and hubby loves them! Because I cook for him he loves me, he surprised me with a fantabulous Garmin!

Now, there’s really no excuse (ok, all I have left is rain, LOL) to not go out for a run. Tomorrow I’m going for my long-ish run so it will be fun to take a look at all the data afterwards.

Also, read this post from Mom’s Magical Miles about why she hates running. I bookmarked it for the days that I will feel like staying in bed because I have the same non-refundably mission sha had to run a race or two! So, gotta move these legs.

I’ve heard before people kidding around about how there’s no spring in Western New York… They are right! It’s like we went straight to summer! It really change from still cold in late April to a couple of good days to OMG, really 96 degrees! Note to self: my best time to run seems like it will be right before 9:30 am or wait for 6:30pm when is less humid (most days).

After watching this clip, Tina Fey is my idol! To have the guts to strip down to her spanks on TV… my respect to Queen T! I don’t watch late night TV but this is pure gold!

To end the week, I finally went to the new bakery in the Island and had their Triple salted caramel cupcake… Talk about sugar rush!

The cupcake was deliciously rich. For me, this bakery will have to be for treats only because I can totally see myself there almost every day, LOL.

Since I’m not going *fingers crossed* there often, maybe this recipe from Jen Chooses Joy for chocolate chip cookies will do the trick 😉

Can you imagine pairing those cookies with frozen café con leche (amazing recipe from The Other Side Of The Tortilla)… I’m in trouble!

How was your week?

GPS watches for running, yay or nay?

Any plans for the weekend?

I said the exact same thing about Toronto weather. We went from wearing parkas to tank tops. What happened to Spring??
I’m celebrating Mother’s Day and my dad’s birthday this weekend.

Yes, the weather has been crazy. We aren’t that far away from Toronto!
