Weekend love /3.

To say we are a little excited the new season of NASCAR is here, really is an understatement. I love and enjoy the sport maybe a little more than the hubs. Thursday night were the Duel races to decide the lineup for the granddaddy of them all: The Daytona 500.

Of course, since my beloved Juan Pablo Montoya isn’t in NASCAR anymore, one of my drivers is Danika Patrick. I admire her passion and tenacity. I feel for her this week because she needed a little Ronda Rousey in her to deal with Denny Hamlin. Long story short, the Hamlin guy has bumped or touch her car twice this week that have resulted in her car spinning and crashing. Sure there are three sides to every story, her side, his side and the truth but in this case (and I’m adding the video below for this reason) what burns me is, does he has to be that condescending? Really? His words were like if she didn’t know how to race in Daytona. A place where she got the pole just a year ago! This would have been a complete brawl if there were two guys… one thing is for sure, I’m kind of liking that Stewart-Hass team! It’s like they are all badasses this year. Ok, off my soapbox.

Tuna cakes anyone? This such a simple yet elegant recipe if I say so myself 😉

So wish I had that home decorating gene but alas I don’t. However, check out this DIY wall panels idea. This is something even I can do! {Doing the happy dance!}

Enjoy the weekend!

    Thanks so much for sharing my Tuna Cakes recipe Yoly! You’re the bestest!! Plus totally agree with you – no need for honey and so many touches if he wouldn’t be doing the same with a guy coming up to him with the same complaint 😉 Hope you had a fab weekend!
