Come fall, our house turns to be homegate central for the football season. For us, it’s so much more fun to fire up the grill and try new cocktails with friends.
One new cocktail the husband has been trying to convince me to make for him is the Michelada. He had to wait no more. This past weekend while we were watching Part beer, part bloody mary mix is the one cocktail sure to impress your beer drinking friends.
I had been dreading preparing this for him because I just didn’t want to do it all from scratch… it’s was so time-consuming that I was scared of missing key plays from our Buffalo team.
You can imagine how pretty happy I was when I found the LiDestri Blood Mary pouches at my local Walmart. You can also get the pouches at Wegmans. Not only, they are the first Bloody Mary cocktail to enter US market with alcohol (6% per volume), this ready-to-enjoy Bloody Mary is made in Rochester! Score! (No pun intended.) We love to support our local businesses.
My husband loves anything spicy and this Bloody Mary cocktail did not dissapoint.
It is fiery!
It is also very portable… perfect for partying before the big game! Now, for the mild flavor lovers, the LiDestri Blood Mary pouches also comes in traditional.
You’ll need for the Spicy Michelada:
1 lime, halved
kosher salt, for rim
1 12oz bottle of Mexican beer
8 oz LiDestri Spicy Bloody Mary
2 strips cooked bacon, for garnish
lime slices, for garnish
How to be Homegate famous with LiDestry Bloody Mary:
- Rub the rim of each glass with lime and dip in the salt.
- Add a handful of ice cubes to the glasses.
- Pour half the beer in between glasses.
- Push the button to pour the Bloody Mary cocktail to the glasses.
- Stir the mix in the glasses. Garnish with a strip of bacon and a lime slice. Enjoy!
This recipe is for two, but you can totally take advantage that the pouch holds the equivalent of two 750ml bottles. Plenty to satisfy all of your friends!
