Smoky Pinekale-ada Smoothie Recipe #SauceOn #shop

The smoothie was perfection in a glass! The hot sauce really brought up the flavors of the pineapple and banana. As you drink it (and it’s perfect for a post-workout drink) you get to taste that smokiness with a hint of heat at the end. | SavvyMujer.com

Since I’ve recommitted to eating healthy and leading an active lifestyle adding a little spice to my recipes has been one of my priorities. It’s a fantastic way to savor some bold flavors without any guilt of eating too much!

Let me introduce you to El Yucateco line of hot sauces:

The Black Label Reserve is exclusively available at Walmart! That said you can find the red and green hot sauces varieties at supermarkets and retailers like Walmart on the Latin/Hispanic aisle.

And yes, he was like a kid in a candy store 😉

The Red Habanero Sauce is the one I would normally would for the hubs to add to his chicken wings.

The Green Habanero Sauce smells just like the sofrito my mom makes with a kick. I’m too wimpy but the hubs loved this one! This has become his new steak sauce.

The Black Label Sauce, well, that’s my favorite. This one is not all about the heat. It’s very aromatic, it has that distinctive smoky scent and it’s very tasty. This is my new steak sauce and main staple for those habanero recipes that I’m thinking of already!

However, don’t just stop as using this sauces to condiment your proteins or on your guac. I dare you to think outside the box! I did and loved, loved how my baby kale smoothie to got its #SauceOn #CollectiveBias

Dare to go outside the box. Taste this delicious Smoky Pinekale-ada Smoothie! It will rock your taste buds.

Surprisingly deliciousness!

I had a couple of them with just 1/4 teaspoon of the Black Label Habanero Hot Sauce and to get a little more heat I finished it with a couple drops of the sauce right before serving it.

I never would have thought to put hot sauce in a smoothie! That’s a really neat idea. I like spice, but not too hot. This would be a good way for me to have a little more of a flavorful smoothie.

It never would have occurred to me to put hot sauce (in this case, REALLY hot sauce!) in a smoothie . . . but I’m willing to give it some serious consideration. Baby steps! 😉
