Rewinding May + Goofy Challenge Training Week 4/36
Can’t believe we have just six more months in 2015. I was happy to see this “trophy” when I logged in to NikePlus:
That’s pretty nice!
Weight – January’15: 174.6 lb
Weight – June 1st: 163.8 lb
The weight is not melting away or *insert your losing weight cliché here*. Still, I’m happy that I’m making progress and we have a downward trend… even when we took a trip to Orlando (and ran my first 5K) where we ate like there was no tomorrow!
Happy I ran my 3 runs a week! The difference in miles from April is astonishing. Almost triple them.
Miles run in May: 36.1 (11.7 in April)
Average pace: 16’31” (in 15’21”)
The price paid for running longer was seeing my pace get slower by a minute. I’m ok with this. I’m eating better and counting calories again which is really helping.
My goal is to lose at least 20 more pounds (my dream would be 30) which I know it will help with my pace. What cool changes four weeks of training and a #runDisney event can do!
I’ve been thinking about the chances I have to submit the proof of time and right now, I feel the best course of action is to train for two different races. The first one, the Metro 10 miler is on August 22 and then my next best shot will be at the Mighty Niagara Half Marathon in late September.
My next step is to get a customized training plan and work + sweat it!0
