How I met my soulmate

Have you seen the movies where two people fell in love at first sight? Yes, me too. I also thought that it only happened in movies. That is until it happened to me.
Many moons ago, I was ready to go back to my Puerto Rico for the first time since my move to Orlando. While at the airport, since I was a little nostalgic and really wanted a window seat, I got lucky and was able to change to not only a closer seat to the plane exit door but a window seat.. Score!
Right before they closed the gate, thinking I was ready to score again by having the whole row for myself, there comes this handsome gringo talking on his cell phone. I didn’t think much of it. Plus, he was having a very candid conversation to the point that the flight attendant was this close to get him off from our flight for not turning his cell phone off. Do you remember those days?
Before I continue, do you know what has been the key to our love?
Lots of communication and date nights. Twelve years later, we still talk at least three times a day. We talk about daily gibberish, our feelings, plans for the day and weekends. Since we are usually on the run most weekdays, we love having date nights in.
If you want to spice things up and try something new, keep an eye for the special marked K-Y® DATE NIGHT that includes the perfect companion: 1 free meal for two people from PEACHDISH.com delivered to your door for an intimate night of cooking together (a $50 value), a $5 VUDU movie credit for you to stream right at home and the pleasure of K-Y® YOURS+MINE Lubricants.
Oh, yes, I was tired from being out celebrating with friends my birthday weekend. He is one heck of an extrovert. When I woke up from taking a nap, he was ready to have a conversation. He talked. I tried to avoid him by talking in broken English, “My English is no good.” I said. He was smarter than I. He answered: “We have three hours to fix it!” Thank goodness he was (still is) persistent!
When our plane was ready to touch down we exchange numbers. I thought long and hard about giving the correct phone number. You know, I don’t really know him, why do something like giving him my real phone number. So glad I did! *phew* Can you imagine if I had not trusted my gut? I can’t, I don’t want to think about it. Long story short (and there are more stories for sure), we connected a few times while in the Island and then had dinner the same night I got back to Orlando.
The rest, like they say… it’s history. We’ve been together ever since. Now, here is us in 2006:
In my Walmart, the family planning section is in front of the pharmacy area. Here is as popular as electronics, eh 😉 Or check out the Date Night pack at Walmart.com for discreet purchasing.
