GOOFY CHALLENGE TRAINING: WEEK 12/36
It has been 12 weeks already!? I’m so happy that running is now a great habit and I feel bad if I don’t go for a run when I had planned it. Now, if only I can get how to be faster when it is hot outside.
We are in the middle of a heat wave! It’s been ridiculously hot really early in the morning. It was 70 degrees already with 73% humidity which kills me every time.
On Monday, I went back to running “just” 5Ks as at some point I should be running more than that in 45 minutes. Talking to my sister over the weekend we were laughing about how running 3 miles is nothing for me… like that’s so easy peasy.
I felt good on this run. I went out earlier than normal and it helped! Still a bit on the slow side but I’ll take it. This thing of running in the heat is serious business.
It’s crazy how heat can affect a run! For this run, the weather was about 10 degrees cooler and barely any humidity. I felt good and strong.0
