Fitness Friday: 4 week progress!
The scale is not moving as fast as I would like to, but I’ll take it. Of course, it does help when the hubs keeps telling you, “You lost weight, looking good!” Ah, he knows I need to keep hearing this and him cheering me on.
4 weeks results:
Lost 1/2 inch at the waist and 1 inch at the hips. I’m pretty happy with that! What I love the most, my tummy is not sticking out as much anymore 😉
Lessons this week:
- Do not leave exercise for later. It never works. You’ll get too busy, too distracted, too tired or simply forget all about it and then when you remember you are laying in bed already (true story).
- Got to meal plan for the week or you’ll go to the dark side and make fast food choices that you know will blow your daily calorie budget.
- No matter how crappy, how hard if feels at the moment, how you feel the workout is going to kill you, finish it! It’s good to listen to your body but don’t listen to your mind this time. Savoring the taste of accomplishment after a training session is way better than thinking what if.
- Switch from calling a workout session to a training session. I feel like the word workout makes me think of it like it’s a chore… not what I want. Calling it a training session makes me feel like an athlete. There’s purpose on session!
