Our First Year Traffic Report
SavvyMujer just turned 1 year old!
It all started with a desire to live a healthier life. It was great to document mr first round of Les Mills Combat but after I was done as you can see on the graph below SM was silent for a few months.
Some of that was due to Cuponeando (my other blog) growing spurt and some of it was that I was trying to figure out what to do with SM. That all changed in August!
Once we decided on the direction for SM as you can see our traffic (and engagement) started to go up.
We have develop some fantastic recipes and I’m looking forward to do more in this next year! Of course we have been blessed to have some of our recipes be featured in places like latinamom.me, Spoonful and Parade.com. And who can forget Pinterest. It’s been an amazing ride so far and the best is yet to come.
In the income department, we have made about $300 which every cent has been reinvested in Savvy. For this second year, we’ll be focusing more in a better content strategy as well as more promotion of our posts.
Now that I have a vision of what kind of resource I want SavvyMujer to become, it’s just a matter of time and more hard work to make it happen.
Goals for 2014
1- More cocktails recipes! At least have one new recipe a month.
2- Get more in touch with my Latina Heritage and create content that resonate to Latinas like me that are in a bicultural marriage.
3- Grow our newsletter numbers. We want to reach at least 10,000 Savvy Mujeres!
4- Do more videos! I’ve been doing videos for almost 5 years in Spanish but it’s time to start doing them for Savvy.
5- Keep growing our monetization strategy. Blogging is my primary source of income and therefore I want to find ways that monetization is not that obtrusive to the reader.
Bonus goal: Share more of what I’ve learn in this journey about social media marketing.
So there you have it. I plan to keep doing these monthly and see how the blog grows.
