My Recipes: Everything on moderation is ok!

Tropical Green Smoothie Recipe

After embarking in this journey to be healthy and fitter, green smoothies have been one of my favorite finds. Of course, I love that they are so easy to prepare and having a Nutribullet doesn’t hurt either!

Now a days it seems like everywhere we look there is a green smoothie. I was so not ready to like them. Now, they are my favorite way to have spinach and kale. After all who knew that drinking your veggies would be fun!

Perfect to start your day or as a post workout meal, this tropical green smoothie recipe is the perfect to start with. Between this drink, following an exercise routine and eating clean about 90-95% of the time, my skin is glowing again.

Tropical Green Smoothie Recipe

tropical-green-smoothie-ingredients2 cups baby spinach
1-2 bananas
1/4 cup of frozen diced mango
1/2 cup of Vanilla Greek Yogurt
1 cup of water
2 tsp flax seeds

Add all ingredients to your Nutribullet or blender and give it a whirl.

Sometimes to balance this green smoothie out and add some healthy fat, I’ll also use one tablespoon of natural peanut butter. A substitution you could do as well is to use unsweetened Almond milk instead of water.

Also, you could freeze the bananas and not have to worry about adding ice to this smoothie. As you can see it’s very easy to add other fruits like super food blueberry into the mix. That’s why I love green smoothies! Want to make it more tropical, add pineapple or coconut milk instead of water.

What I like even more… it doesn’t taste healthy! It’s flavorful not overly sweet and, really, it feels like cheating on the diet, it is THAT good! I look forward to this drink so exercising is a little more rewarding after all.
