At the beginning of the year, I picked the word intentional to guide me. Part of being intentional was picking up running as my way to be more active, have a healthier lifestyle and share a hobby with my sister that loves to run.

It’s been a wild ride so far! Right now, I’m slated to run my first half marathon with my sister in October. Although a bit nervous about performing well, knowing that trusting the program and making sure I nourish my body will be key for this race.

To tackle this race, I’ve been reading like a maniac about proper fuel for my body.

Lately, it’s been so hot and humid outside that you could pick me up in a bucket of sweat. As important as it is to have a few ounces of water while running, for me it’s even more important to have a good lean-protein product like EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control in my corner. Well, better yet in my fridge!

Having a low carb product like this helps with my sweet tooth cravings. EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control will help you:

  • Manage hunger and nourish muscles.
  • Manage your weight and increase your energy.
  • Contains good for you nutrients.
  • Reach your fitness and nutrition goals when combined with an active lifestyle.

The ingredients for this cool me down piece of heaven on a stick are:

  • 1 EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Strawberry Cream shake
  • 1 small avocado
  • 1/2-pint fresh blueberries

I used the Strawberry cream flavor for this protein shake popsicle, but you can substitute with the French Vanilla flavor if you prefer.

Add the flesh of one small avocado, most of half a pint of blueberries to the blender cup. I kept a few blueberries to add them once the mix was in the popsicle mold. Add one EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Strawberry Cream shake and mix well.

The mold I’m using holds 4 ounces of the popsicle mix. Aren’t the little running stick figures cute? If your mold holds eight ounces, just double the ingredients! Let the mix freeze for at least four hours before enjoying them.

They are my best go-to snack after a sunny run and best of all it’s that you can find these delicious low carb shakes at Walmart!

What are your favorite ways to mix with your protein shakes?

This is a genius way to use the shakes! I had never thought to turn them into popsicles! Super smart! #client
