3 Fitness Goals for June

This 2014 seems like it’s running an ultra-marathon at blazing speed!

If only I could get on with it 😉 For this month, instead of setting ambitious goals in terms of running mileage I’m going to work on creating the habit. Using the excuse of “having to much work” it’s getting a little old and really, “It’s. IS. TIIIIME!” (said in my best UFC announcer guy voice)

3 Fitness Goals for June:

1. Get dressed in my fitness outfit and walking sneakers right after drinking a cup of coffee. One thing I never miss is having a cup of coffee in the morning. I want to associate the getting ready to workout with finishing this cup of coffee. This should be super easy by the end of the month.

2. Go for a walk/jog five days a week. The aim is to walk start walking for 10 minutes right after I’m done writing a couple of posts every day.

3. Every time I go to Facebook, I will do 5 squats.

As you can see the plan is to start moving this body after the activity triggers my fitness goal. Those triggers are things I do every day, so by starting small is my hope that it can create a new habit.

    Ooohhh, I should try to the squats and Facebook thing. Either I’ll have killer legs or my friends on Facebook will think I’ve died.

    I like the fact that you tied your Facebook time to squats – I might adopt that. Good luck with your monthly goals, will be rooting for you.

      Can’t wait to the end of the month to see if I did way too many squats or finally stop going to FB that often.

      Give it a try! I did too many squats yesterday so it’s putting everything in perspective. I will still get leg of steel, lol.

    Love this! I want to start walking too, but it’s SO hot here in the summer. I may have to start walking before bed when it’s cooler out.

    I love that you tie your coffee int o your run. I always need to sneak a cup before I go or else I am super cranky. I also like the squats for facebook – I should definitely start doing this!
